Andrew James Ward

Born 1954,  1972-76 Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, 1978-80  Travelled through East Africa portraying tribal people. Sponsored British Council, 1982  Residence Switzerland. 1990  Founded Labyrinth Publishing. “nach aussen – nach innen”, won prize “Most Beautiful Swiss Art Book 1991”. 1994-96  Worked in performance under Antonio Neiwiller (Italy) and Gerard Personier (Switzerland), 1996  Performance/music video “Vindonisa” with Paul Giger (ECM Records), Guest lecturer Zurich University (Neue Lernkultur), 1999  Tamangur: Prize winning Documentary film directed by Stephen Macmillan (BBC) of works in the Alpine forest, 2000 Represented by Andres Thalmann Gallery, Zürich, 1999-04  Invitation to Taiwan, Korea and Philippines, art installation on sex slavery for UN. Sponsored by Pro Helvetia, Schmidheiny Stiftung, Osram, IFOR.
